Leathia Moore inspired those around her to feel compassion and empathy for people in her community who were not as fortunate. She also believed that those who were in a position to assist their neighbors should do so not for credit or accolades but because of the humanity all of us shares. She understood that leadership comes from strong examples and she challenged her peers to set themselves apart for the next generation to emulate.

Leathia Moore’s philosophy has influenced many; as a result of her teachings, successful entrepreneurs and selfless philanthropists were created with future generations to follow. In honor of her memory, the Leathia D. Moore Foundation was created to continue her legacy and extend a helping hand to those in need.
